Season 2: Episode 3: Cameron Huddleston

What happens when you need to step out to care for a parent, rather than a child?

In this week's episode, I had an opportunity to connect with Cameron Huddleston, Cameron is the author of Mom and Dad, We Need to Talk: How to Have Essential Conversations With Your Parents About Their Finances. She also is an award-winning journalist who has been writing about personal finance for more than 17 years. Her work has appeared in Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine, Business Insider, Chicago Tribune, MSN, Yahoo! Finance and other personal finance publications.

On The 43 Percent, we've had numerous conversations with women about their experiences of caring for children and their evolving career paths. In this episode, I had an opportunity to learn more about a very different set of experiences.

In this episode, Cameron shared her own experience of parenting while confronting the reality of caring for her own mother who is grappling with Alzheimer's disease.

It's a topic not often discussed, but one that can have a significant impact on family and career.

You can hear the full episode below, or wherever you listen to podcasts.
